FRESH THYME MARKET

Designing the store of the future

DEVELOPING AND BUILDING AN ENTIRELY NEW STORE FORMAT

What I did: Brand Strategy • Conceptual Design and Direction • Project Management • Agency Direction
Fabrication, Demo and Installation Management and Logistics • Budget Management

Our stores, collectively and individually, constitute our primary brand communication channel. It needed a refresh, one that exemplified who we are as a brand today: forward thinking, innovative, yet proud of our roots. Thus, our design and aesthetic directive was born of a need to reflect both our heritage and the immense potential of Fresh Thyme.

The directive: create a cleaner, brighter, more contemporary in-store visual experience while maintaining a recognizable essence of Fresh Thyme Market

Beyond the visual, the primary goal was to effectively

use the perimeter soffits and walls to amplify our brand

story and category differentiators

We reduced visual noise by removing the old and outdated signage and decor elements.

The existing decor and surfaces were recontextualized, giving them a new life while maintaining familiar characteristics and silhouettes. We employed surface and visual texture throughout

with repainted existing cedar paneling, new corrugated metal cladding, and knotty shiplap pine. These humble materials are not only economical, they convey accessibility, approachability,

and a down-to-earth vibe that's emblematic of our brand.

The decor elements and messaging complement the existing brand attribute signage kit and POS collateral, resulting in a store-wide holistic communication ecosystem
